Junior System Administrator / Operations Support — Scholastic.com
The eScholastic division of Scholastic, Inc is seeking a full time
Junior System administrator. The Systems Administrator will assist in
administration of the Scholastic.com web site infrastructure and
provide technical support for internal clients and production staff at
eScholastic.
This is an excellent opportunity for a post-graduate to work with
cutting edge open source technologies in a position with excellent

Responsibilities
* Administration of Linux and Windows Servers (mostly Linux)
* Help troubleshoot technical issues with web sites and applications
* Provide general technical support
* Manage issue assignment, track on status of open issues
* Being helpful in all circumstances
* Responsible and On Time
Skills
* Unix system administration – basic
* Windows Server administration – basic
* Knowledge of open source web tools desired (Apache/Tomcat)
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Ability to learn new software quickly
* People skills – able to listen to help non-technical people with
technical problems
* CS Degree or equivalent skills/experience
