New NYC-based web services start-up is in need of an experienced iPhone application developer to build a beta version of a new website and iPhone application. The company’s Founder is a Wharton graduate with successful entrepreneurial experience and is very well connected within the NYC venture capital community. The company’s concept is an enhancement to many of the personal journal / diary applications already developed for mobile devices. Our current solutions lack robust feature sets and critical functionality, and there is a tremendous opportunity to expand the attractiveness and stickiness of these applications by incorporating some basic concepts/technology into them.
Initial wireframes for the iPhone app are already designed. An Indian firm is working on the data architecture plan, but we are looking to bring that, the website design and app development onshore. As such, we are looking for 1-2 developers who can take the lead in developing the beta iPhone application and corresponding website. Interested developers will be required to sign an NDA and must be well versed in iPhone app development, including using the Google Maps/Facebook APIs, and UX design. We are looking to build a company, so there is definitely long-term employment and significant equity potential.
