JOB: AMNH Media Developer/Programmer

Programmer
The Exhibition Media department is looking for a Media Developer/
Programmer to join the team at making computer interactives

Languages:
Extensive experience in Flash and Director required.
Additional experience in or knowledge of Processing, Max/MSP, Jitter,
Java, C++, 3D engines such as Blender, Unity or Unreal considered a
plus.

Skills:
Project Coordination of digital projects.
Quick troubleshooting a must. Ability to debug other’s code, research
and update old and outdated code.
Commitment to robust applications a must. Applicant must be able to
foresee and plan for potential software and hardware failures.
Knowledge of animation, video, and sound formats, rendering, and
optimization.
Flexibility and interest in using and creating new platforms and
tools, physical interfaces, using cameras and devices like the
Arduino for input.

Comfortable in OS X, Windows, and Linux. Comfort with source
versioning and control (CVS, subversion, git) a plus.

Experience & education:
Minimum four years of experience
Bachelor degree a must. Master degree a plus
