Job posting Ettiquette [Was: Flash Production Artist]

Sorry to hi-jack this thread, but John just brought up something
that’s been bugging me a lot on this list, and I didn’t want Paul (who
started the conversation with a rather innocent job posting) to think
I am picking on him…I’ve noticed this mostly goes for agencies with
full-time positions, and doesn’t seem quite as bad when people post
freelance gigs, but…

PLEASE, can whoever is writing the job posting take a second and write
something about the company that is doing the hiring? It is really
dodgy not to at least post the name and URL for the company, rather
than making us look at the email address (if one was included) for the
domain name and figure it out from there. It makes me think SO much
less of a company that asks Midori or anyone else to take up our inbox
space with a job posting, but can’t even bother to properly identify
themselves.

Thank you!
