Northwestern University’s Department of Radio/Television/Film seeks a
tenure-track full-time Assistant Professor of production focused on
interactive arts and entertainment for appointment beginning September 1,
2011. The ideal candidate=B9s work is innovative and nationally recognized,
as demonstrated by commissions, distribution, exhibitions, reviews, grants,
and/or awards. This individual will comfortably traverse the commercial
world and the art world, and have the necessary software skills and direct
knowledge of industry practices (especially the gaming industry) to help
develop a curriculum that prepares students to develop interactive
experiences for a variety of platforms/purposes (entertainment/educational
games, immersive experiences, interactive theatre, mobile computing,
convergence, digital storytelling, and/or other emerging forms). A terminal
degree is required, with evidence of good teaching. Salary is commensurate
with experience.
