Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented  Associate Interaction Designer to join the team of Interaction Designers, Visual Designers and Researchers. Designers and researchers work in collaborative teams with project leads, strategists, engineers and domain experts to generate innovative concepts and solutions for multiple screens: TV, PC, mobile and more.

The Associate Interaction Designer will work closely with researchers and other designers on generating insights, participating in ideation sessions with interdisciplinary teams, and articulating product concepts, interaction philosophy and models, as well as use cases and benefits of ideas. The individual will need to be able to illustrate user stories using story boards and interaction flows, as well as create detailed interaction flows and specifications.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in interaction design, problem solving and product definition, with a focus on building first class solutions. They must have had 1+ years experience designing non-web applications, including mobile applications across multiple operating systems, and TV services. They need to be well-versed in prototyping tools. The ability to sketch ideas in real time a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver detailed interaction designs for specific projects and initiatives.
  • Quickly articulate product concepts or interaction/experience concepts into demos and prototypes with little supervision.
  • Collaborate with designers and researchers on generating customer insights.
  • Develop information architecture, interaction design, wire frames and software UI, that meet user needs, user tasks, marketing requirements and business objectives.
  • Define and document interaction design principles to be applied across global product solutions.
  • Communicate and represent interaction concepts and models to team members, and discuss with stakeholders.
  • Expertly craft documentation to represent the team’s vision around user experience, including: storyboards, schematics, style guides, movies, PPTs and prototypes.
  • Work within interdisciplinary team to ensure delivery of quality solution that meets all requirements and provides a consistent product experience.
  • Support 2-3 projects of light to medium scope in parallel; organize and manage personal assignments in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience designing first class web and mobile experiences.
  • Experience working in interdisciplinary teams across the definition through implementation cycles, applying a variety of tools.
  • Experience designing for different input technologies and user environments, including key three screens: Mobile, PC, TV.
  • Solid knowledge of user experience methods, design principles,
    problem-framing skills and research methods.
  • Capacity to deliver mental models, concept sketches, workflows, information architecture and UI components.
  • Strong visual design sense, along with prototyping skills on interactive visualization technologies such as Adobe Suite, Flash, DHTML, CSS, AJAX, etc.
  • Experience working in a rapid application development environment using appropriate tools and techniques. Experience with agile development is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Team player and highly collaborative in approach.
  • BA/BS degree in Interface Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Human Computer Interaction, Software Product Design, Architecture, or equivalent.
