Position Summary:

The Instructional Solutions Developer provides support to all of JetBlue University (JBU) colleges and JetBlue departments to develop, support, evaluate and maintain learning initiatives in an effort to provide a valuable learning experience.  The Instructional Solutions Developer partners with Business Partners, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and designated leads using consulting skills to perform needs analysis, select the right delivery option, develop the solution, and support Instructional Solutions for corporate-wide training initiatives.  The Instructional Developer needs to project manage, contribute, and oversee work of others to complete deliverables on-time.  Overall, the Instructional Solutions Developer uses initiative and innovation by providing customer-focus, during all phases of development, support release and evaluation.

Essential Functions:

*Works with Leadership to manage project portfolio
*Works with Learning Solutions Team as needed to support development of Crew members and manage work flow
*Works with Leadership and peers to project manage, develop, support, and maintain, strategic initiates including but not limited to:  evaluation program, course maintenance program, new tool implementation, and documentation
*Establishes and communicates  guidelines and recommendations for process and procedure related to Instructional Solutions development
*Partners with the other Learning Technologies peers to effectively project manage and contribute to all phases including content development, release, support, evaluation and revision cycle of learning
*Works as an Instructional Design consultant with Leadership, Learning Technologies Team, SMEs (Subject Matter Experts, project leads and Business Partners  in training needs in all phases of learning solution development
*Works independently or with guidance to create, support and maintain Instructional Solutions in multiple delivery platforms as assigned including: Rapid-development, video, eLearning and classroom training
*Designs and develops Instructional Solutions using existing Instructional Solutions, source documentation, and collaboration with SMEs to create course objectives and outlines
*Supports SMEs in independent training development projects providing instructional design, design and software expertise
*Contributes to the immediate and long-term vision for the Learning Solutions division; researching, implementing, training and developing using the guidelines provided by leadership
*Supports and participate in initiatives outside the division including task force, temporary ISD assignment, facilitator, etc.
*Keeps abreast of new and developing trends in training and adult learning and applies them to research and Instructional Solutions initiatives
Interactions:

Supervision Received:

*Plans and carries out work assignments and handles problems in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices in the occupation.  Consults with Crewleader on unique situations which do not have clear precedents

Supervisory Duties:

*Trains and assigns work to Crewmembers on an occasional basis; performs the same work as the group on a regular basis

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
*Master’s Degree preferred
*Two (2) years experience in corporate training, instructional technology, multimedia development or related field
*Highly organized
*Effective communication skills
*Experiencing researching, analyzing and synthesizing information/data and providing recommendations or developing learning solutions
*Experience developing training using multiple authoring tools as well as video or graphic design programs

*Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
*Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
