Job Description
Impact & Scope
Entrepreneurial educational company seeks an exceptional UI/UX designer to create the visual design and interaction flow of our online courseware and other products. This is a hands-on position responsible for creating elegant and intuitive designs for web and mobile products.
Responsibilities
· Design the interface and interaction flow of new web and software applications by considering business and functional requirements, along with market analysis, customer feedback, usability findings
· Develop concepts, wireframes and mockups
· Develop and maintain style guides and user-interface specifications
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree a plus. Prefer formal education and/or training in areas of graphic/web design
· Fluency in best practices for web and online user experience design
· Strong understanding of front-end development; ability to hand-code HTML/CSS/Javascript a plus
· Visual design expertise demonstrated through an extremely strong online portfolio, including links to final projects, mockups, wireframes and style guides
· Experience designing icons
· Experience in mobile application/site design
· Proficiency in a variety of design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Visio/Omnigraffle.
· Ability to rapidly create UI designs for iterative product development and user testing
· Superior communication and interpersonal skills; ability to consult, collaborate, facilitate, and lead
· Self-direction and an ability to manage multiple projects on-time with a high degree of quality
Preferred Experience
· 3+ years experience as a user experience/user interface designer or comparable roles
