The ideal candidate is as obsessed with good design as they are with technology and the myriad ways the two intersect.
Details
> A versatile designer who really understands digital media and how to think and design for interactive.
> Strong layout and typography skills
> A true love for clean functional design with the technical know-how to execute ideas with Adobe Creative Suite (advanced Photoshop and Illustrator a must, some knowledge of InDesign and After Effects a plus)
> A good understanding of front-end programming (HTML, CSS, and JQuery) and what it takes for a design to get implemented (the more coding experience the better, but rudimentary knowledge is expected)
> A super positive and driven attitude attached to a strong work ethic to back it up
> Good verbal and written communications
> Obsessive curiosity feeding a desire to always find a better, more elegant solution to a design or technology problem
> A meticulous attention to details with the implicit understanding that they make or break a project
This position is open-ended and can start off part time, leading to full time, and is even open to interns if they have the skills and passion outlined above. The candidate must be located in the New York City area, and be ready to commute to downtown manhattan at least part time. Compensation will commensurate to the applicant’s experience.
