[VOLUNTEER] Join the Holiday Hackathon for Social Good

***** Technologists and Designers Needed *****

The NYC Holiday “Hackathon for Social Good” will be held at iNDELIBLE (535 8th Ave., NYC) on December 8th from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
A Hackathon for Social Good is an all-day event where a group of dedicated technologists and designers collaborate on a web or mobile app project for a local non-profit group. Sure, it’s an intense, fast paced day, but it’s a great way to compress the project development cycle into a lean and super agile time frame, where a lot of progress is made in a very short time period.
There are several ways in which you can help:
Sign up! If you’re a Designer, Programer, UX practitioner or Strategist, this is an awesome and inspirational way of giving back to your community. Please make sure that you RSVP to participate – only 40 seats are available: http://wvnyc-holiday-hackathon.eventbrite.com/
Spread the word. Forward this email to friends, co-workers and others who’d bring their awesomeness to the event!
At the end of the Hackathon, the non-profits and participants will vote on a winning team, who will receive a free two-day pass for the WebVisions show that will be held from Feb. 27 to March 1st at the Theater for the New City – plus, the winning team’s project will be showcased at the conference.
