JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Lead Developer
JOB PURPOSE: Translate team goals into useable prototypes and products.
JOB DUTIES:
• Participates in brainstorming workshops
• Conducts and compiles tech research, translates findings into universally accessible formats and reports to be shared with team
• Forecasts technology needs and timetables, breaks down and plans easily understood documentation, technology processes, workflows and tasks for multiple team members
• Develops programs, applications, prototypes and products that are key to company progress.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Higher education background in technology, computer programming, computer science and other related fields
• 2-4 years experience in versatile senior programming
• Experiences developing software and apps for web and mobile platforms
• Skill Spheres: Experience/ability to understand and program or project manage tasks relating to any or all of the following:
– TEXT: Deep understanding of the unicode standard, fonts, SMS, MMS and how they work across mobile and web-based platforms such as text messaging, Twitter and Facebook.
– iOS: Building applications in Objective-C on the iOS platform. Experience with other platforms is a plus.
– GEO: Location-based technology. Experience using the iPhone iOS api to incorporate GPS functionality a major plus.
– INTEGRATION: Integration of content across multiple existing platforms/social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
– ANALYTICS: software to generate metrics/analytics based on measuring user activity
– GRAPHICS SOFTWARE: image or video creating/editing software, web, mobile or otherwise
– DIGITAL VALUE: online money/credits and other forms of digital currency and trading
– PROJECT MANAGEMENT: experience orchestrating and managing technology development processes
