The Graduate Institute for Design, Ethnography & Social Thought is seeking to hire someone to design a visually rich and easily maintained web site that will effectively convey the energy of the new Institute, the scope of its activities, and its lively and diverse community of scholars. The site should have intuitive navigation and a consistent and contemporary look-and-feel.
The site’s dynamic and appealing home page will be used to advertise the work of the Institute scholars as well as GIDEST program news and upcoming events. It could be organized with, for example, squares for each of the 12 GIDEST people that would each link to a page about their work (12 pages: the 10 fellows plus the director and program assistant).
Other pages that could link from the Home Page include:
– a People page that lists current/past fellows and their research topics
– an About Us page
– an Events/Calendar page that will include Upcoming and Past Events
– a Fellowships page containing information about the GIDEST fellowships
The site can be based on WordPress or a similar platform. It must be complete and live by August 1.
