THE GOVERNANCE LAB: COMMUNICATIONS INTERN/RESEARCH ASSOCIATEThe Governance Lab @ NYU (GovLab) works to promote innovation in the way institutions function and decisions that improve real people’s lives get made at all levels of government. When such institutions work more openly and collaboratively and when they rigorously measure impact and assess what does and does not work, we believe that the processes of governance are more effective in producing desired outcomes, as well as more legitimate in the eyes of their citizens. If you find this is a mission that appeals and if you have the relevant skills, the GovLab is interested in talking with you about a communications- and social media-related Internship (if you are currently an NYU Masters student) or Research Associate position (if you are a recent Bachelor-level graduate). We are looking for the right person to help us track, orchestrate, and leverage our social media presence, design and implement communications initiatives rooted in our research and advisory projects around the world, and work with various external partners, individuals and organizations, to create content modules that w inform and energize innovative efforts by the students we serve and the professionals we support. Please send expressions of interest, along with a brief writing sample and your current cv, to Alan Kantrow, Chief Learning and Communications Officer of The GovLab: alan@thegovlab.org.
