User Experience Intern

We are seeking an entrepreneurial User Experience Intern to join our rapidly growing Experience team. As an intern in our User Experience community, you will have access to a network of user experience professionals, including information architects, user researchers, usability specialists, and content strategists, as well as an extended project team consisting of strategists, creative directors and technologists.
CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The intern will provide IA support to one or more client projects
  •  Contribute to the development of client deliverables
  •  Participate in some of key tasks of an information architect including:

o Researching and prioritizing user requirements and functional requirements
o Developing information architectures and taxonomies for web sites and web based applications
o Prototyping navigation models and interaction designs for demonstration to clients
o Documenting functional specifications
o Performing usability testing of proposed designs

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Pursuit of a degree in a related field, such as technical communications or literature, human-computer interaction, library science, graphic design, or industrial design
  • 1-2 years of related work experience or course work preferred
  •  Excellent oral and written communication, superb logic, analytic, and problem solving skills
  •  Strong desire for an immersive learning experience
