Senior Technical Project Manager

 

Description

The Senior Technical Project Manager will work on-site for one of our luxury ecommerce client-partners. He/she will be responsible for ensuring technical projects are delivered from Initiation through deployment on time, within budget, at a high level of quality, via managing the internal teams, vendors, and external resources.

 

  • Experience with Sterling OMS a plus
  • Experience working with other OMS a plus

 

Responsibilities:

  • Run complex technology-based projects/programs from design and development through to production.
  • Define requirements, create specifications and schedule, testing and implementation and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Maintain project st
  • Analyze project to create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Demonstrate ability to create and prioritize technical schedules in response to immediate requirements, while not losing sight of strategic goals and architectural integrity and longevity.
  • Manage conflicts within group between cross-functional teams.
  • Efficiently identify and solve project issues.
  • Ensure that deviations from project schedules are addressed and communicated.
  • Create and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Present regular executive summaries to Director of Infrastructure.
  • Work with and be able to manage globally distributed teams
  • Work with the minimum amount of supervision
  • Effectively manage and communicate technical schedules, deliverables and milestones both internally and externally.
  • Ensure that resources have a clear view of the big picture, including internal and external deliverables and expectations.
  • Manage and facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders with vastly different levels of technical abilities

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Project Management and Technology based development / support with specific focus on:

  • Working Knowledge of various Software Development lifecycles
  • Hardware Infrastructure and Systems
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong command of English language, both oral and written
  • Excellent self-tasking and team work skills
  • Excellent communication and motivation skills
  • Ability to interact appropriately with senior level colleagues, vendors, and partners
  • Experience delivering enterprise-wide solutions
  • Demonstrated experience of increasing responsibilities managing complex information technology infrastructure related projects and experience utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches is required
  • Excellent understanding of and experience with implementation of software applications, including familiarity with data integration issues and ongoing operational considerations
  • Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail; position will require simultaneous oversight of many projects with individual goals and deadlines across a variety of genres.
  • Practical experience with one or more of the following preferred:

o   Knowledge of e-Commerce systems

o   Knowledge of Compliance Standards and auditing (PCI / SOX)

  • Experience managing onshore and offshore development projects with extensive communication, risk management, and project reporting experience.
  • Highly organized and extremely detail oriented
  • Good understanding of the web and mobile technologies such as HTML, HTML5, AJAX, PERL, HTTP, XML, etc.
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Excel, etc.
  • Familiarity with issues management software such as Basecamp, Jira, Bugzilla, etc.
  • Ability to meet project requirements and deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-time-zoned, multi-lingual environment
  • Excellent analytic and organizational skills, including the proven ability to manage multiple projects in different stages of deployment simultaneously
  • Must be proactive, responsive, customer-service oriented and lead with a sense of ownership and accountability

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience
