Submissions for the 2023 Games for Change Awards are OPEN!

Happy New Year! We hope you all got a chance to unwind over the past few weeks and feel refreshed coming into 2023. Games for Change has some fantastic things lined up for this year, including the 20th Games for Change Festival, the start of the 8th Student Challenge competition, and so much more. For now,  take a look at some things happening in January!

Each year, the Games for Change Festival highlights the best games and social impact experiences from the past year through the Games for Change Awards. We are thrilled to open submissions for the 2023 Festival and introduce a new award, Best Board Game for Impact! Games and XR experiences released in the past year can submit their titles across 10 categories, including:

  • Most Significant Impact
  • Most Innovative
  • Best Gameplay
  • Best Learning Game
  • Best XR for Change Experience
  • Best Student Game
  • Best Narrative Game
  • Best Civics Game
  • Best Health Game
  • Best Board Game for Impact *NEW*
