TED Prize Social Media + Research + Communications Intern
The TED Prize Team is looking for a New York-based intern to help with social media efforts, research, and communications around the Charter for Compassion and the InsideOut Project — two initiatives of the TED Prize. The TED Prize is awarded annually to an exceptional individual who receives $100,000 and, much more important, “One Wish to Change the World.”
Both projects are looking for help to manage and expand participation through online outreach, research, and communications.
The internship includes tasks in the following areas:
Charter For Compassion:
+ help managing the Charter for Compassion pages
+ upload photos + videos
+ post news of interest to CFC community
+ respond to the community
+ Tweet news of interest to CFC community
+ respond to the community
+manage and respond to email inquiries +manage databases (BaseCamp and Google Docs)
+ research potential partner organizations
InsideOut Project:
+ respond to email inquiries
+ research and contact potential partner organizations
+ manage databases (Google Docs)
This position starts September / October at our New York office in downtown Manhattan. You should be able to devote several full days, or blocks of at least 5 hours at a time, to the position. Internships are paid, or college credit can be arranged with your advisor.
