At The Barbarian Group, we live to make cool stuff for the internet and we know that the next big idea can come from anyone including the emerging talent from colleges around world. For this reason, we develop a rigorous internship program each summer.
ABOUT OUR PROGRAM
Our highly competitive, 10-week program provides interns with the chance to gain the best hands-on experience in virtually every area of a fast paced digital creative agency. We treat our interns like staff, and if you’ve got the chops, you’ll be given opportunities far beyond your typical internship program. The Barbarian Group offers opportunities in the following disciplines: social + earned media, creative (art + copy), production, interaction design, planning, technology, account management, pr, and finance.

- Do you like to make awesome things even better?
- Are you a current undergraduate student or recent graduate?

UX
Your client is a large metropolitan city that would like to discourage driving and promote alternative forms of transportation (subway, bus, biking, bike share, ride share). What new digital tools and services could the city provide to make alternative transportation more attractive or accessible to urban dwellers? How could these tools influence behavior?
PRODUCTION
The Barbarian Group is pitching a new soft drink client and wants to create a prototype of a refrigerator that has a live web cam in it so you can check on it at any time to make sure you have soda in for when you get home. They’re hoping to have the client in the room and then turn on the tv monitor and ask the client to grab a soda out of the refrigerator. To their surprise, they’ll see themselves on the monitor grabbing the soda. It’s Monday and the client is coming in on Wednesday.
- How do we get this done?
- What platform and equipment will be needed?
- How much will it cost?
- Do you have any ideas to make this concept even cooler?
