actually, john personally takes down all the used job postings, shreds
them, urinates on them, bundles the wet pieces into little individual
match boxes, stores them in his refrigerator for a week, dries them
carefully with his hairdryer, fluffs them back up, fills miniature
sock monkeys with them and then gives those to the poor needy and
heartbroken mice that wait expectantly in perfect little rows outside
his front door. he takes any potential challenges to his “important”
job very seriously. i think we all can understand him feeling a
little uncomfortable with people bringing up ideas of other ways that
these postings could be retired, and allow him to keep the very small
but important shred of dignity he holds onto precipitously in this
matter.
