> Candidates will join NYSE Euronext’s internship program which commences on May 26th and runs through to Jul 31st. The Global Websites Group have a preference to recruit candidates who are also open to extending their internship on a part time/flexible basis through the Fall ’09 and Spring ’10 semesters.

Interns across the organization will receive full orientation training upon joining the program. Additional training will be provided on Stock Exchange operations followed by regular “Lunch & Learn” events specific to candidates on the internship program.

You will be located at our Corporate Headquarters above the New York Stock Exchange Trading Floor on Wall Street. The Global Website Team is located adjacent to our International Broadcast centre which facilitates the distribution of journalistic reports and news footage around the world.

Candidates will be compensated in accordance with NYSE Euronext’s Internship Program which provides increased compensation for graduate level interns.

Position Profile
You will be joining and contributing to a dynamic and highly productive Global Web Group, which works closely with the business, marketing and communications teams in Europe, the US and Asia to extend our digital reach.

We are keenly interested in candidates who have excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with our stakeholders and assess business requirements with a view to creating new interactive solutions or reengineering and improving our existing digital communications.

These skills will be paramount in your work on our new global web site due for launch later this year. The new site will replace our existing nyse.com and euronext.com websites and is expected to handle over 2.5million page views a day from over 3million unique visitors a month.

Key Accountabilities
·       Joint Website Project
o      Work with the project management team during the quality assurance and user acceptance testing phase of this project adding value where possible.
o      Assist with the content migration plan for the new web site
·       Ad hoc Project Work in areas such as:
o      Search, Blogging, Viral Campaigns, Social Networking, Video, RSS, Wikis, Web metrics
·       Assist with the development and content management of nyse.com
o      Collate Requirement Specifications
o      Build Prototypes/Mockups
o      Review and test developments prior to implementation
o      Use our content management environment to update nyse.com
·       Intern Project
o      Prepare a presentation on a topic of your choice based on your own experience and learning within the field of interactive telecommunications and the knowledge you gain of the NYSE Euronext business. The presentation will need to be creative, informative and demonstrate applicability within the context of NYSE Euronext digital communications.
