Tenlegs.com is an exciting new startup that provides an easy, fun-to-use place for folks to display and sell their digital creations, and see and purchase other folks’ work as well. We have just launched a beta site, and are looking to expand. Our team is made up of highly motivated, energetic and passionate specialists with tons of experience in marketing, strategy, entertainment and internet/web technology. We also provide an extremely open, inclusive, collaborative, flexible and fun work environment where every idea is a good idea and every team member is highly valued and respected. As we grow our team rapidly from diverse professional backgrounds (e.g., technologists, strategy, new product development, digital marketing, etc.) and schools (e.g., NYU, Harvard, U. Penn, Columbia, Purdue, etc.), we continue to look for talented individuals to join us.

1. Web Developer (PHP, MySQL, Social Media, Web 2.0)
Responsibilities
● You will work on adding exciting new features to our website, involving multimedia (photos, videos, music). Our rapid and iterative development cycle will require you to explore and learn new technologies, solutions and services in the social media space, while giving you the flexibility and opportunity to question the status quo and innovate the website through your creativity and ideas.
● Your projects will include improvements to existing features (built on a Linux- Apache-Mysql-PHP (LAMP) MVC architecture, as well as the addition of completely new capabilities in the web 2.0, social networking and secure payment area, and involving cloud computing (Amazon S3/EC2/RDS and others).
● You will also be expected to constantly improve the core architecture to support our growth plans. This will require you to identify opportunities for tuning the existing code, as well as revise the architecture as required to ensure future development will be built in a secure and scalable manner.
Experience
● Prior development experience building large-scale high-traffic and secure consumer websites, in the social media / social networking / Web 2.0 space, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
● Extensive experience programming on the LAMP stack . Strong in PHP, MySQL, Javascript frameworks such as JQuery, and AJAX
● Experience integrating and working with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudfront) and other cloud-based services
● Experience creating custom integrations with multiple open source and commercial social / web 2.0 technologies (WordPress, Forums, Wikis, Facebook connect)
● Optimizing for the Mobile web (Android, iPhone, iPad etc) is a plus
● Experience with Agile development and source control systems such as SVN or GIT
● Comfortable working in a team environment, including with offshore team members
Skills
● Languages: PHP5, Javascript, CSS, DHTML, Flash, HTML5
● Database: Mysql – developing database schemas for high performance, administration of the database to support multiple node deployments for scalability)
● Cloud: Integration with Amazon S3, EC2, RDS, Cloudfront, Encoding.com
● Positive, can-do attitude, great team player

BS/MS Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent

2. User Experience Designer for Digital Media Website Responsibilities
Looking for a full or part time designer to:
● Drive designs from idea to implementation
● Communicate designs through wireframes, site maps, user flows, mockups and
interactive prototypes and functional specs
● Collaborate with other team members to inform and validate your designs
● Evangelize new interface guidelines and design patterns
● Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic and agile environment
Qualifications & Experience
● Analytical, insightful User Experience and Design professional with a talent for developing creative solutions within tight budgets and timelines.
● Passionate and dedicated thought leader with proven ability to develop and implement new products and ideas.
● Expert in user-centered design methods and best practices, including building complex transactional applications and social networking features
● Proficiency generating interactive prototypes using basic HTML, CSS, and/or Javascript
● 3-4 years experience designing interactive user interfaces ● Creative and technology background preferred ● Positive, can-do attitude, great team player

3. Online Media Collaboration Tools Developer Responsibilities
Looking for a full or part time media and collaboration tools expert:
● Drive designs from idea to implementation
● You will work on developing exciting new features to the website focused on building online media tools e.g., online editing, file collaboration, content slicing tools
● Map the member experience in detail and design compelling innovations across key touch points
● Produce design specifications, storyboards, scenarios, design prototypes of media editing and collaboration tools ● Work with web developers, marketing, content producers and founders to refine and implement online tools
● Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic and agile environment
Qualifications & Experience
● Analytical, insightful User Experience and Design professional with experience in key media industry and collaboration tools e.g., Final Cut Pro, GarageBand, Photoshop, etc.
