JOB: Director of the Physical Design Department / ESI Design

We are seeking a Director of the Physical Design Department for retail environments; museum exhibits, corporate installations and Large-scale media experience projects.

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

·      Clearly communicating his/her ideas to the internal teams as well as to clients.

·      3D modeling and renderings of co-created designs.

·      Working with Project Managers to oversee schedule and workflow.

·      Presenting design concepts verbally and visually; both internally and directly to clients.

·      Interacting with clients to establish design criteria and communicate concepts.

·      Working with an internal multi-disciplinary design team including AV systems designers, UX /UI designers, writers and graphic designers.

·      Overseeing design at different phases of project work with Project Management.

·      Managing a small team in the creation of concept visualizations as well as project documentation.

Qualifications

·      Overall 7 to 10 years of experience with at least 4 years of demonstrated experience working as a Senior Designer.

·      Proven ability and relevant work experience in cross-functional environments including Retail, Corporate, Museum and/or Large-scale media experience design.

·      Must have excellent verbal, visual and written communication skills with respect to team members, peers, and management.

·      Extensive knowledge and experience in 3D modeling, rendering, drafting and design documentation using relevant design software.

·      Experience in the design production process, from documentation to overseeing fabrication and installation.

·      Strong strategic, Conceptual design and analytical skills

·      Experience interacting with senior executives both internally and externally.

·      Experience in leading and mentoring designers in a multidisciplinary environment.

·      Delivering stunning presentations is a huge plus.
