BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Atelier Ten, an environmental and lighting design consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to work in its New York, NY office. The successful candidate will provide business development, sales, and marketing management for this branch office of Atelier Ten, as well as for Atelier Ten nationally. S/he will work with a national marketing team and will report to a director of the New York office.
Job Purpose/Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for leadership, coordination, and execution of all business development and marketing initiatives; for responding to RFI/RFQ/RFP’s; and, maintaining active outreach and relationship to media and marketing departments in client organizations. The candidate is expected to work closely with Directors and key project team members to develop a coherent marketing and business development plans. Success in this role is defined as being able to develop and implement a proactive marketing strategy, turning this strategy into sales, and providing firm leadership with up-to-date business development information to allow them to make strategic decisions about the future of the company.
- Key Responsibilities
- Be fluent in presenting Atelier Ten’s mission, services, and portfolio
- Be committed to the development of the growth of the firm via the appropriate technical, project management, and quality control standards.
- Work collaboratively with the BD team at large to ensure consistency and efficiency with marketing and business development efforts.
- Represent Atelier Ten as first client contact, whether by phone, e-mail, or in person and follow up on all marketing related issues.
- Develop, lead, and coordinate business development and marketing initiatives
- Respond efficiently to client requests for information and produce accurate, complete, and tailored marketing packages.
- Follow and evaluate local and national industry news and professional organizations to identify new potential clients, new business opportunities, and events that A10 could be engaged in to increase its profile/visibility.
- Provide regular reporting on and assessments of marketing and business development initiatives.
- Work with the Graphics and BD team on the regular update and production of marketing collateral material, including the website.
Education
Bachelors degree.
Experience
4-10 years in a job related to marketing and business development, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, and related fields.
