> The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a
> Fall intern in the Digital Media department. The unpaid internship
> runs from September 14 through December 4, 2009. There is a
> minimum commitment of two days per week; although 4-5 days is
> desirable (one day must be Tuesday). The application deadline is

> Duties:

> The intern will work on a variety of projects for MoMA.org and
> other digital formats on tasks that include managing images and
> media, assisting with exhibition Web sites, and updating
> educational resources. There is an opportunity to work on design
> and coding of projects if the candidate has the appropriate level
> of experience and skills.

> Requirements:

> The intern should have a variety of experience in software and
> hardware, especially Web design languages such as HTML and CSS.
> Experience in graphic design programs such as the Adobe Creative
> Suite preferred. Skills in advanced programs and systems such as
> Flash, Javascript, PHP, and Ruby are highly desirable. Experience
> working in a museum is a plus.

> Eligibility:

> College students (third and fourth year), graduate students, and
> beginning museum professionals. The Museum encourages candidates
> from diverse backgrounds and academic disciplines to apply.

> MoMA Internship Program:

> The Internship Program provides interns in-depth exposure to the
> workings of individual departments and practical and theoretical
> training in museum practices, and acquaints them with the role of
> museums in contemporary society. Working under the supervision of
> one of the Museum’s professional staff, interns contribute to
> timely projects, gain insight into the functions of individual
> departments, and learn about the Museum’s various collections,
> exhibitions, and programs for visitors. Internship projects are
