[INTERN] Intern Wanted For New Travel Photography Website

Intern Wanted For New Travel Photography Website
Founded by a NYC-based filmmaker and NYC-based travel writer, Jungles in Paris (www.junglesinparis.com) is a new website that tells visually driven stories on culture, craft, geography, and wildlife from around the planet. We aim to inspire 21st-century viewers with beautiful non-fiction treatments of the human and natural worlds.
The site is seeking a part-time intern. Position will comprise various duties, including web-based photo research, creating short content for social media, and helping manage the site’s contact list for events. An interest in and knowledge of international geography–especially world cultures–is essential for this job. The posting is an excellent opportunity to learn about contemporary media, as it involves close collaboration with co-founders who have produced shoots for clients such as Virgin Mobile and the Brooklyn Museum, and written articles for outlets including The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal.
Hours are flexible, 5-10 hours a week. Most work can be done offsite but we will occasionally want the intern in the office for status-update meetings.
SKILLS
-A strong eye for photography and above-average knowledge of world geography are a must.
-An intelligent and efficient approach to web research.
-Familiarity with Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter.
-Ability to use Excel.
Those interested should send an email to info@junglesinparis.com. Please include CV and a note that provides details on applicant’s interests and relevant experience.
