Job Description
The gluelab Intern is responsible for developing products, systems, and interfaces that blend new technology with existing best practices into the live event production world. Potential technologies include, but are not limited to, VR/AR, mobile solutions, audio/video, lighting, electronics, motor/motion control, sensing, and data processing. The gluelab Intern will work closely with staff and management to define projects and project goals, seeing projects through development, build, and finally event integration.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct testing/analysis in both the lab and the field
• Develop products, systems, and interfaces for live event production
• Perform product development activities in design and analysis of new products from concept to production. This includes CAD models, BOMs, and required documentation
• Evaluate field performance and implement changes needed to improve performance and quality
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies into various platforms
• Collaborate with team members to develop these systems
• Develop, lead, and participate in the design review process
• Proactively compile, prepare, and present data for timely project updates and technical presentations to staff and senior management
• Investigate design change requests from internal/external sources, taking action when warranted
