Director – Direct to Consumer – Store Systems

 This position will be responsible for all Store Systems technologies including new

solutions, and functional improvement initiatives.

 Primary focus and ownership of strategy, design, and implementation of:

 In-store technology including fixed POS, Mobile Point of Sale, Omni Channel

 Back-end applications for selling and customer service systems – Sales Audit, CRM,

LP and Payment Systems.

 Lead software and hardware evaluations and selections to support business

requirements.

 Build teams and partnerships with key business stakeholders and vendors to ensure

project requirements and design are meeting or exceeding requirements.

 To provide management and leadership of the store systems team, to include full

responsibility for the recruitment, motivation, development, and retention of

staff.

 Manage and maintain a schedule of deliverables with strategic vendors –

including Communication and management of vendor deliverables and impact to

timelines and business expectations.

 Partner with all business teams in support of Store Operations, Marketing, Analytics,

Digital Commerce, Loss Prevention and Sales Audit, Finance.

 Partner with infrastructure team to design and build a secure, redundant, scalable in-

store/back-end hardware and network infrastructure.

 Assist in the design and development of in-store transaction selling that includes a

higher level of customer engagement and support of sales associate’s ability to use

the latest technology to support these initiatives.

 Lead strategy and roadmap development with in-store technologies, ensuring that

VF’s store technology landscape enables our future business strategies.

 Benchmark retail industry trends to help to define and expand the in-Store Systems

strategy for Multi-channel, eCommerce, in-Store technology experience.

 Own the assigned processes from conceptualization through implementation, as well

as future measurement and evolution of the process and systems.

Qualifications:

 This individual must possess a strong understanding of Retail Store Systems, Mobile

POS, development lifecycles, eCommerce technologies, with capacity to lead related

projects and objectives.

 This individual must have experience building and running scrum/agile teams.

 This individual must have experience building and delivering mobile apps to support

retail experience.

 This individual must have experience and understanding of experience design and it’s

role in developing solutions.

 Candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience working with retail

systems.

 Candidate should have worked on or implemented complex Store Systems solutions

within a retail space.

 Candidate should have a successful track record of creating and delivering effective,

timely and cost-effective solutions to meet business objectives.

 Candidate should be able to lead and influence executive level stakeholders across a

diverse environment.

 Should be comfortable with being hands on in the creation of solutions and work as a

team player.

 Candidate must be able to gather information rapidly, work efficiently in a fast paced

environment and be results oriented.

 Must be comfortable presenting and leading discovery sessions with business teams,

both executive/leadership level and individual contributors.

Other Skills and Abilities:

 Strong analytical and communication skills.

 Formal understanding with applied experiences in project management.

 Must have strong written skills, with the ability to convey clear and concise thoughts

and ideas.

 Should have good interpersonal skills to deal with direct reports, user community and

vendors.

 Extremely organized, diligent, detail-oriented and self-motivated.

 Ability to manage time and priorities while managing multiple projects at once.
