Director – Direct to Consumer – Technology Support

 This position will be responsible for the technical and functional support of the

technologies running our retail business.

 Responsible for establishing a comprehensive retail technology support model to

include all application and infrastructure technologies required in the operations of

VF’s retail businesses.

 Define VF’s Global Retail Support strategy, and build a framework and plan that can

be implemented in all regions.

 Leadership:

 Build teams and partnerships with key business stakeholders and vendors to

growth and new retail formats.

 Partner closely with project delivery teams to ensure appropriate implementation of

new capabilities and technologies, ensuring continuity of retail operations.

 Drive adherence to a standardized retail operating model.

 Evolve the structure and capability of the retail technology support organization in

alignment with changing technology landscapes.

 Be responsible for vendor management and coordination across all retail system

capabilities.

 Ensure adherence to SOX controls, as well as management of related documentation

and remediation efforts.

 Execute and coordinate robust stakeholder communication and escalation related to

critical issues impacting retail operations.

 Drive results and promote continuous process improvement, ensuring business

objectives are met and resources and tasks are allocated appropriately.

 Partner with all technology and business teams in support of Store Operations,

eCommerce, Marketing, Analytics, Loss Prevention and Sales Audit, Finance.

 Partner with architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to design and build a

secure, redundant, scalable in-store/back- end hardware and retail network

infrastructure.

Qualifications:

 This individual must possess a strong understanding of Retail Systems including point

of sale, mobile point of sale, core merchandising systems, fulfillment systems,

planning and allocation systems, consumer analytics, and the evolution of retail and

omnichannel.

 This individual has experience with development lifecycles, and understands how to

work in an agile/scrum environment.

 This individual has experience building support team and support models, aligned

with ITIL methodologies and including a service delivery approach to creating support

a support model.

 This individual must have support experience with a fortune 500 retailer

 International experience preferred.

 Candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience working in a production

support role, with progressive responsibilities including managing a team and leading

the creation and implementation of support strategies.

 Candidate should have a successful track record of creating and delivering effective,

timely and cost-effective solutions to meet business objectives.

 Candidate should be able to lead and influence executive level stakeholders across a

diverse environment.

 Should be comfortable with being hands on in the creation of solutions and work as a

team player.

 Candidate must be able to gather information rapidly, work efficiently in a fast paced

environment and be results oriented.

 Must be comfortable presenting and leading discovery sessions with business teams,

both executive/leadership level and individual contributors.

 Strong analytical and communication skills.

 Formal understanding with applied experiences in project management.

 Must have strong written skills, with the ability to convey clear and concise thoughts

and ideas.

 Should have good interpersonal skills to deal with direct reports, user community and

vendors.

 Extremely organized, diligent, detail-oriented and self-motivated.

 Ability to manage time and priorities while managing multiple projects at once.
