For a prospective candidate:

  • You will do important work. You’ll help us build core features and applications on our website to present content in an elegant and reader-friendly way as we move to a new and exciting publishing platform.

  • You will have a lot of fun. You’ll help us conceptualize ideas for how a great news website should look and work, build tools for editors and writers, and help them tell stories on the web in a compelling way.

  • You will grow quickly. You’ll closely collaborate with a team of dedicated designers, developers, web producers and storytellers and by getting timely feedback on your work.

  • You will develop an in-depth knowledge of how digital publishing works behind the scenes.

  • You will make a difference. Our team constantly collaborate with other editorial departments in the newsroom. There are lots of opportunities to work with our Pulitzer-winning reporters and editors on our most impactful journalism projects — building applications, graphics, databases, interactive experiences.

  • You will be paid our newsroom intern rate of  $450 per week.
