Software and Hardware Technology Architect Intern 

 

Who we are:

Crea Interactivity is an NYC-based startup that’s re-imagining the physical education landscape by developing interactive and immersive physical experiences for kids. We are leveraging new technologies to make physical activity more engaging by combining it with traditional active play and fitness techniques. The company has prototyped three responsive augmented reality games that are currently being tested at P.S. 126 – an NYC public school on the Lower East Side- and we are planning on building two more games in the next six months.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, personable, Software and Hardware Technology Architect to join our team with opportunities for growth within the company. The right candidate does not need to possess all the skills/experience listed below. We are more interested in finding the right person (or people) with a passion for our mission, and the willingness to learn. This is an exciting opportunity to grow with a new company in an untapped market.

 

Your Duties:

*Help fine-tune our existing prototypes using Unity 3D and various hardware; 

*Help assess project specifications for technological feasibility, required production time & resources, and options for execution. Work with the creative and project management team to ensure execution of  product and timeline goals are being met; 

*Lead the prototyping process to build new games that utilize AR in Unity/C#; 

*Build with mixed reality and video mapping hardware (Kinect, Arduino, Real Sense, projectors, LED lights)

*Experience setting up multiplayer games using Unity Multiplayer / Photon /etc.

 

Skills & Experience:

*Some experience (even if beginner) with software development and hardware deployment required for multiple synchronized computers, depth cameras, various sensors, projection mapping, touchscreens, media walls, etc.

*Programming experience with Unity or similar game development platform

*Basic knowledge of C/C++/C#/Objective C or Java; 

*Beginner level of basic augmented/virtual reality experience

*Have a basic understanding of spatial mapping, lighting, and shaders

*Experience with agile development 

*Ability to keep organized, readable, and easily maintainable code

*Great attention to detail, self-motivated and collaborative
