I am looking for one person to work with me and Scholastic on a project to determine the effectiveness of an E-Reader in a middle school classroom. READ 180 is Scholastic’s very successful reading program aimed at middle school students who are reading below grade level. Here’s the overview of the brief from Scholastic. There will be one Research Associate at Vanderbilt, who will be evaluating the educational effectiveness. The ITP student will focus primarily on the effectiveness of the technology.
The objective of the READ 180 E-READER Project is to evaluate the utility and perceived effectiveness of the E-READER in middle grades classrooms in two urban districts in Tennessee and New York. These classrooms will serve struggling readers using the READ 180 reading intervention program.
This is a 2 point internship.
