EVENT: Internship/Volunteer Opportunities With Arts Non-Profits

Calling all ITP Students and Alumni:

On Saturday, October 16th, the Arts, Culture and Technology meetup (ArtsTech) is hosting a project matchmaking event with some of NYC’s top arts organizations. We’re looking for students and alumni who are interested in using their skills to help an arts non-profit realize a tech-related project. This is a great opportunity to expand your portfolio, work with a top-notch arts organization, and make a big impact on the NYC cultural community.

Participating organizations include: The Whitney Museum, The Liberty Science Center, New York Foundation for the Arts, New York Academy of Art, The Museum of American Finance, Rhizome, RxArt and more.

We’re looking for volunteers with a wide range of skillsets: Javascript, HTML, CSS, Django, Python, iPad developers, graphic designers, art directors, sound directors, videographers, experience with Wikis, and MORE.

Visit www.artstechmeetup.com/project-matchmaking for more information and to read about each organization’s project needs. Some projects offer stipends and/or perks, so be sure to review each one!

EVENT DETAILS:

WHEN: Saturday, October 16th from 1-5pm

WHERE: ITP  721 Broadway, 4th FL

WHAT: The arts orgs will present their projects. Bring your resume, portfolio and business cards. Be prepared to network and pitch your services. We will provide some snacks and refreshments.
