Freelance IxD role
Seeking: junior to mid-level interaction designer to work on rollout of web and mobile tools for a new energy-management system. Freelance position to last 4-8 weeks, preferably on-site full-time in our offices in Brooklyn.
Skills & Requirements
1+years with proven portfolio of workflows, wireframes, and specifications
Strong understanding of usability and interaction design
Work well in a collaborative, detail-oriented team environment
Strong writing and communication skills
Pluses:
Experience designing mobile applications
Experience with enterprise applications
Ability to speak fluent geek
F/T front end role:
EnergyHub is seeking an experienced freelance front-end web developer/engineer. Work with design, business, and technology to build next-generation green tech tools. We prefer candidates who are able to work on-site with our Brooklyn-based team.
Skills & Requirements
You are:
Able to work and collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers.
Comfortable with rapid prototyping and with detailed specifications reviews.
Able to communicate clearly in meetings, in writing, and in code.
Comfortable with task identification, work effort estimates, and maintaining work schedules.
Actively engaged with new techniques and technologies, not because the job demands it but because it’s a passion.

Detail-minded and self-motivated.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX, and jQuery
Strong command of web standards
Successful implementation of a highly designed, high traffic, dynamic consumer website (think SaaS)
Previous work experience with Amazon Web Services and/or cloud-based architectures
Previous work experience with Linux and Apache
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS4 (Illustrator a plus)
Pluses:
Experience building production web applications
Familiarity with Android, GIT, XMPP/Jabber, JUnit
Knowledge of HCI and application UI design
Some sort of ridiculous hobby
