Summer ’23 Floor Access

General Access for Students

The Equipment Room and Shop are now CLOSED until the beginning of the Fall Semester.

ITP and IMA Students and recent grads have access to the floor until August 12

Historically, these areas come back online by the first full week of classes, once Shop safety sessions and Equipment Room orientation sessions are out of the way and when student workers have been hired, trained and scheduled.

Memorial Day, Monday May 29 Admin/ER/Shop CLOSED
Juneteenth, Monday, June 29 Admin/ER/Shop CLOSED
Independence Day, Tuesday July 4 Admin/ER/Shop CLOSED

Access to the Microstudio, Equipment Room and Shop are very limited, with a strong priority of resources dedicated to ITP Camp during the month of June.

For special accommodations to support your project, you should email Rob Ryan in advance. Projects cannot be left unattended, unlabeled or stored without permission overnight.

Equipment Room

On-Floor Only Checkouts from 9AM – 4PM Monday thru Friday ONLY for students not in a Summer Session II Class

Off-Floor Checkouts available to students in Session II Classes

Weekends – CLOSED

Shops

Upstairs Shop 9AM – 5PM Monday thru Friday

Upstairs Shop 11AM – 4PM Saturdays

Downstairs Shop 1PM – 5PM Monday thru Friday ONLY and by appointment with Phil or Luke

Media Commons

Access is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10AM-5PM ONLY. Please visit Media Commons help page for info.

IMA Low Res

IMA Low Res students have access to the Floor until August 12 with the same limitations on holidays noted above.

For special accommodations to support your project, you should email Rob Ryan in advance. Projects cannot be left unattended, unlabeled or stored without permission overnight. Labels for your materials and projects are available on the wall to the left of the Technical Operations Office (Room 433). Please see the Project Storage help page for details.
